can’t have too many desks
Our kids have one bedroom each that provide a warm place to sleep, room for play and activity, decent gaming and so on, however Frank and Viola only want to be where we are. And since Jens and I are usually in the studio we’ve set up a second desk for them next to our desks. A crafting and painting station if you wish. The desk itself is one of those folding tables you use to paste your wallpaper. I painted it black – pushed it against the wall and added some seating.
Since I’m all about images I filled the pink wall with photos, drawings and posters.
The X-files poster “ I want to believe” is from allposters.se but you can find it at lots of places.
“Nebraska” was found in a vinyl sleeve we bought at a flea market in Nebraska. (If I remember correctly it was a Diana Ross album)
c/o Kolonin is a promotion poster that I photographed for a garden show in Landskrona. Viola is the model with a hat under a giant rhubarb leaf.
The “Frida and Diego” mexican papier mache dolls was sent to me by a reader of this blog. I love them so much.
The studio photo of an Irish Setter used to hang at my grandfather’s house. That male dog was the father to one of granddad’s dogs.
The lush illustration of a women enjoying some sweets is by the amazing Swedish illustrator Jane Bark. (The poster from the advertisement exhibit “Reklam” in Landskrona.)
The Orbs, The hand, I Heart TV, the Girls in helmets and “This is Art” is from our shop jennyojens.com
The gold lamp is called “Bumling” and is a Swedish classic from Atelje Lyktan.
I bought the jacket on the wall in Copenhagen with Isabelle.
The jumbo sized Charlie Harper book is bought at Ammo.
Everything else is picked up at various second hand stores.
It turned out pretty good, don’t you think?
