Babyroom by DosFamily inspired by the forest

Jens made this sweet tree behind the baby crib for a job I did a while back. We wanted to demonstrate a thrifty and creative way to transform a corner of your bedroom to fit your baby. The tree and the decoration on the chest is cut from adhesive vinyl, bought at our local hardware store.

The wooden floor and the walls were already white. The chest of drawers (bought at a thrift store) is also decorated with vinyl and hold all the baby´s clothes. The Apple-picture is from Fine Little Day-shop. The blue poof is from Åhlens and so is the box it sits on, but it is covered in fabric from Lagerhaus. (actually it is a bed sheet). The globe and the other items on top of the chest are vintage.

Again here is the bedding from Lagerhaus and a blue pillow from Fine Little day-shop. The owl pillow is from Stof & Stil and the rabbit hook is from Ilva. The apple with a music box inside is vintage.

Jens really has a great eye for these kind of things. But he says that sort of tree is not at all hard to make.
He started with a sketch on paper. Then he cut some branches, using scissors,  and began in the corner and worked his way up on the wall. Then he added the leafs and last some circles and squirrels here and there.

Carpet from Lagerhaus and the Tiger rug is from Rusta. The doll and Alf and Tom the Cat are all from Ebay.
