Interesting fact about me – I never spoke until I was 3 and a half years old but when I did start talking it was in full sentences :)

Unlike probably most other people I rarely listen to music. I would never turn on music when having visitors, it distracts me far too much. I don’t like background music. Funny, because at the same time I am singing in three choirs and take singing lessons.

Oh! Thank you for this giveaway! What a fun way to start a Monday!

Interesting fact? I can bend both my elbows backwards! Freaks out most people (especially my man), but I find it’s very useful when reaching across the table for the ketchup! (and for when I want to scare people :)).

Hei!

When I was around 3 years old my “loss” of hearing was discovered and my first language was swedish sign language. I grow up with 3 languages at the same time, sign lang, polish and swedish.
All good enought and today I live in Finland so add 2 more sign languages (finlandswedish and finnish) (and yes, every country have it own sign language and its not the same all over the world :) )

Sign language is the best language ever, can use it everywhere and anytime except in totally darker ;)

What a fun contest!!! I have two boys, 3 and 5, and they are a handful.. My oldest has autism and dosen’t like changes. I looooove changes and love to redecorate. So My youngest room is my workplace….. I have to bite my fingers to keep out from the oldest room, but it work. Any way, my oldest love colors and I think this would be fine for him – so it would be lovly to be able to put this set in his room!!!

Hello!

I have a talent for reading children’s stories. When I read books to my nephews I can make different voices and seem to find the perfect (well, to me) rhythm to the story.

Definitely more weird than interesting, but I used to be afraid of getting poked in the eye with a knitting needle. At that time I didn’t even knit, nor did any of my friends or family members so I guess that the chances were quite slim. Nowadays I do knit and knitting needles don’t scare me a bit :)

When I was little I had a dream I can remember quite vividly to this day. This is my dream. I was in a country I did not know talking in a language I did not understand. Yet I knew what I was saying and I understood what people were saying to me. Then some people put me on a stool and carried me around. It was a very strange but very happy dream!

Then I woke up and realized that I remembered two words of this strange language. I wrote them down phonetically so I would always be able to remember them. Ever since I have been looking for words that are similar to this language in my dream, but I’ve never found them.

September 9, 2014 at 01:18

What an awesome giveaway!! Lena is actually a nickname since my full name is so unusual. My four siblings and I were named after our dad, so we all have similar first names à la George Foreman’s sons. (Think: Paul, Paulina, Pauly, Paula, and Paul Jr.) I guess my parents ran out of steam near the end, ha. Yes, the names are weird, just like my family, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

I’ll start a bit in swedish, eh, vänta nu här… Hursom, gladrandiga-lemurer tillhör definitivt mina absoluta favoritdjur!

Here we liksom go: I’m really happy if I’ve got four things in my life. Four important things. I always go on about them, especially when we go to the supermarket. My guy sighs loudly when I worry about my things EVERY time we go shopping. Are you really, really sure that we have them at home?, I ask. They are like a mantra: Coffee, green olives and toilet-paper. In that order. Very, very important stuff, you know.

But the fourth “thing”, you wonder? Him. I really need him, my man. Especially to remind me of the fact that we almost always have the rest of the four things at home…

This is too fun to miss… however I had to rethink this quite a few times… I abandoned a few things such as “a mom to 4”, “a pet rat LOVER”, “an amazing bread baker”… I think an interesting fact about me is also the most daring thing I have ever done: a bungy jump in New Zealand. I absolutely fear heights (anything above the ground is considered high), and I was able to conquer my fear once big time!
