And the winner is…
Emelie Lindeberg from Snikk won my scholarship this year! Congratulations!
It has been so much fun! Over 140 nominations and women between 16-72 years with so many different life stories. Like one woman who works as a set designer walks in and starts an account for over 100 000 SEK (14500 dollares) to buy tools and wood – the guy at the hardware store gives her a folder about how to learn to build stuff just because she is a woman. Or another who is alone with just another girl in a school with 400 boys and the teacher says that carpentering is not for women and call them sluts in front of a larger group. But also stories about women that love their job although it can sometimes be a bit tough being the only girl among the men and lots of men supporting more women in the construction industry.
I am so grateful and happy to be able to do this and it feels so good to see women (and the men) get together and salute this issue!

This is Awesome!! Grattis Emelie!
och vilket trevligt klipp från mässan!
I love this idea so much! As a girl at a university of technology in The Netherlands, I am definitely a minority. I love studying industrial design, but sometimes it can be challenging to fight some of the prejudices. If you want to see me do cool stuff with electronics and fountains though; http://magicaldaydream.blogspot.nl/2012/10/i-have-magic-power-over-water.html
