The Isabelle Scholarship

This week I released something I’ve have thought about for a long time and very proud of
– namely, a scholarship/grant for female artisans!

The Isabelle Scholarship for Women Artisans – is for women who are or want to become artisans. It consists of 20 000 kronor, travel and hotel stay in Stockholm for the winner. Honor and pride are of course also included.

The Isabelle Scholarship goes to the women who love their craft and /or want to develop within it. Perhaps through education, perhaps through a crazy dream project. The basic premise is that you want to help break the norm and change the world. The artisan trade is a profession that would benefit from more diversity. What I want is in this way to start a discussion about attitudes towards women in the profession, prejudices and working conditions.

Application deadline is October 3. Nominate yourself or someone else by e-mailing isabellestipendiet@gmail.com. For Swedish applicants only!
(But I still wanted to share this with you all)

Spread it for the wind.

The scholarship is awarded on 13 October at Hem & Villa fair in Stockholm.

In connection with this I have also started the a female artisangroup on Facebook (Swedish only)
http://www.facebook.com/groups/272624042767836/ where you can nominate and hopefully it will also be a forum where we can share experiences, tips and help each other!

Have a great weekend
Isabelle
