Nesting- Vinyl on everything

It is such a treat for me to travel around and visit the homes I feature here at Dos. As I am sure you can imagine it is very inspiring. And so far every visit has given me a new idea to use in my own house. Sometimes big sometimes small.

At the Hed house I had seen a small bird on one of the steps of their staircase and I wanted to do something similar to ours. I contacted Åsa to ask her what kind of vinyl she had used for her skyline above her sofa. She told me to go to a craft store and buy vinyl (dekal), the kind you can use on window or on tiles. I found a green fuzzy one and Jens , my husband (sambo) and illustrator, made me this fox, using only a pen and scissors. I feel like I want to use this all over now: Imagine putting small mustaches on every portrait you have framed on your walls. Or making small shapes out of you cookie cutters and decorating you kids bedpost with them.

What is Nesting on Dos Family?

When I am out visiting people I see so many “good Ideas” that I collect with my camera. It can be neat everyday things like clever storage solutions for your clothes or just fun decor.
Small things that give your home a little more swag or simply make it more efficient.

The ones I am drawn to are often thrifty and pretty effortless and I hope you find them just as inspiring.
Also all of them are photographed by me or Isabelle. And sometimes they are from our own homes.
