Six feet under and Peter Gabriel – a quick post about inspiration
“Six feet under” and Peter Gabriel, these two storytellers are keeping my inspiration above water during this ice cold season.
I grew up with MTV (thanks to my supporting parents who got us a satellite dish, even though it was considered bad in our community)
Peter Gabriel always makes the most of his 4 minute songs by adding wonderful visuals. MTV must have felt the same way cause they sure did play him alot. Solsbury Hill below is a good example. I absorb them just as happily now as I did when I was a kid.
Also “Six Feet under” is a great source of inspiration. It reminds me of all the things that got me into photography in the first place. I love the way they tell the story of this disfunctional but lovely funeral home family. How it’s complex but never pretentious and funny even though it’s mostly about death.
Ok that’s it from me today. I hope you’ll be able to find some inspiration today, from where ever you may find it. =)
