It’s quite difficult to decorate a cabin that can be a musty winter lodge and then an airy summer castle. But I go for different feelings in different rooms. I also realized, just a couple of days ago, that my decoration often looks better in real life than on photo. All the color eats the light. Like all these typical Swedish white homes looks so swell on all the blogs but are kind of boring in real life – like living in a crazy clean, bucket of white.
I always wanted this Ikea lamp but never bought it. Then, the other day, I found it in the bargain corner! It didn’t have a lampshade and I have been thinking about painting the wood. But then I just tried this. I love this damn ugly shade. And I love the combination.
My hart has a soft spot for the crooked and ugly.
