this not so much a tip about where to go but if you need help finding your way around the city I recommend the “Not For Tourists Guide to NYC” (http://www.amazon.com/Not-Tourists-Guide-York-City/dp/0981488706) its a small black book you could find at many book stores in the city. It is really helpful if you want to wander around without holding a massive map in front of your face. have fun and enjoy NY!!

Om ni är kvar på söndag är mitt tips att åka upp till Harlem och äta våfflor med friterad kyckling (det är gott, lovar!) på Amy Ruth’s (http://www.amyruthsharlem.com/) och sen gå på gudstjänst. Finns en kyrka snett över där det är lite gospel och en större kyrka precis i korsningen 7th Avenue och West 116 Street.

Annars strosa runt i West Village, Chelsea market, Chinatown, Soho. Promenera uppe på high line om det är fint väder.
(http://www.thehighline.org/) ät sushi från Lobster place inne i Chelsea market (http://www.lobsterplace.com/) inne i chelsea market finns massa andra butiker, restauranger, konditori. Gillar även butiken Anthropolgie

Welcome to ny – Have a fantastic time!

For unique spots in often crowded soho, check out kiosk for quirky everyday objects from around the world (think German string and Finnish dartboards), opening ceremony for clothing (head downstairs for the sort of more affordable stuff) and de espana for lunch or coffee away from the crowds (head to the back for Spanish snacks at rustic tables).

My sister in law and I wrote the design sponge Brooklyn guide, which has a ton about our neighborhoods. My personal favorite is Atlantic avenue in boerum hill. Take any train to the Atlantic pacific subway stop in Brooklyn. Start walking west on Atlantic (away from the new arena under construction). The first few blocks aren’t too exciting, but as you continue down you’ll find cool antiques, clothes and food. It’s overpriced but great creative local shops that are fun to browse. For lunch get Montreal deli food, brisket, at mile end just off of atlantic ave. or Bedouin tent for super cheap amazing middle eastern. Walk until you hit smith street, make a left and you’ll find blocks and blocks of great bars and restaurants with boutiques sprinkled in. You could make a full day and evening of it.
