DIY childrens stoves
Today I did an apperance at the Hem & Villa 2010 Fair in Stockholm.
On stage I talked about decoration, childrens rooms and my thoughts about design.
I also made these childrens stoves from scratch – live.
They took an hour to make and the material cost was about 20 dollar.
I used chipboard and the top was mdf.
The black paint is Chalkboard paint (I love chalkboard paint and use it all the time, such a great matte black and such a creative thing!)
Then I glued gift wrap from Danish House Doctor on the sides.
The oven door is an old book, oven knob an old bobbin and the hinge is a piece from an old leather belt.
Not the best photo’s but I think they turned out great!

LOVE these stoves…and thanks for the directions. I may have to make one for my niece!
so clever and cute!
bravo!
skitfint!
Jättefina! Ska göra en själv snart till mina paltar, men tror jag ska vara mer kreativ än vad jag först tänkt! Tack för tipset:)
HUr fint som helst! Måste börja bygga mer själv.
[…] got home from my work at the fair and my little girl saw the other stoves I made. Naturally we had to transform hers as well. […]
You are genius. And you should probably get a book deal or something! (In English too though!!)
Amazing! I so would have wanted one of these as a little girl… wait, what am I saying I want one now ;)
Åh så mysigt! Min sambo byggde en spis till min systerson förra julen och vi har fått beställningar på fler till alla nya kids som ploppar ut, ska komma ihåg dina när vi gör nästa!
