Do the museum workshop with your kids

Last weekend we went to the Modern Museum in Stockholm. I’ve been there a lot with the kids but never went to their family Sundays. When you pay your entrance the kids can for free take part in their workshops. They also have them during school holidays – like next week it’s school holiday here in Stockholm and then they’ll more workshops. It was great. First they talked about art and told the history behind different paintings. This time it was Pop art – then they went down to the magnificent art studios and they had to do their own “Warhol” screen print as you can see on the table on the first image. I just wanted to stay in those rooms forever. I need to get a studio. It was a great way to spend an afternoon with the kids!
Do you remember Örjan the painters – studio?

Hi!
I’ve been visiting your blog for some time and I found it really inspiring. The workshops in the museum must be great as is the studio. I’ve seen such a workshop in Tate Modern in London – it was prepared for school children who had their art lesson there. It was so creative and interesting – I guess they learned much more than during art lesson at school.
Cheers!
