So very talented Åsa Hammarström did not only help me out with the book and the TV shows. She also made my new brand identity!
I am so happy with it. Currently I’m working on a new portfolio site but it’s going so slow since I do other stuff at the moment… I’m more busy working instead of writing about it…

Anyways- we made stickers at moo.com and now I can’t stop sticking them everywhere.

I took out my sewing machine and fixed things thats been broken for over a year.

We went to the fun fair. I got dizzy just by looking at it all. So long  – brave Isabelle.

Or maybe I just gave my roller coaster gene away… cause it sure went somewhere.

I cleaned some cupboards but basically just moved the mess elsewhere.

Or was it me who moved the mess?

I sure bring stuff to the home that makes it more messy. Like these thrift finds.
And yes- the cuckoo – cuckoos beautiful!

Last week they were everywhere. The animals. I´m so glad I always have my phone with me so I can take a photo. Which by the way has a new case. From TGR

Remember my posts my old post “Getting organized with Trones“? Well by the time I posted it IKEA had stopped making them in white. Many of you were sorry about that. But since then Ikea has launched a new product called RETUR, boxes in plastic in a few diffrent sizes. And I just realized that the biggest one of them is almost the exact same thing as Trones. But it´s not sold in a packages of 3 like Trones is. And they don´t have that “bump” on the front. See more here!

This week I´ve been photographing gardens. Pictures that will be published next spring. Aaaahhhwww the waiting is killing me….. I just want to show it to you straight away. But no can do.

Yes, it was a miss matching day, but that’s a thrill in it – the does it work or not -game.

Oh I’m doing so many exciting things at the moment! I am decorating a whole 100 sqm apartment for an exhibition in August, I’m filming some new stuff that is so damn cool and I’m also doing some stuff for IKEA. Yesterday I was in Älmhult- at the IKEA headquarters, basically the whole city is build around this huge company. The image is taken by super talented stylist Lo Bjurulf that I’m working with. She is so cool – I had a blast! See some of the images she has made below.

Ps, there are so many great new things coming out at IKEA soon. Wow.

Me and dad where pretty hardcore a couple of days. It was raining hard but we endured and build this stairs. Then I took the spare parts and made a second set of stairs at the back of the house!

The kids on the other hand just made funny faces.

I also painted. Painted everything that came my way. Chairs, walls and stairs. I also bought a new kitchen sofa. And – Yes it’s getting paint too.

And yes, a pink set of stairs is a dream come true.

My father – oh what a trooper! We went just the two of us up to my cottage for a couple of days. Just to fix things on my list of things that needed to be done. We make a great team. I love just building and making stuff with him. We communicate great that way.
Along the road up north we stopped to get some gas and my dad made this little coffee and chocolate painting. This image is so much him. His car, his corduroys, coffee and always up for some chocolate!

I´ve talked about this before, in the “Dos in January“-post, but here I go again. Thinking back at the times when mom and dad watched TV with the younger me makes me all fuzzy inside.

Viola and I watch plenty of TV and every now and then we do watch together. I try to show her movies that I liked when I was her age. So far this has worked.  “Släpp Fångarna Loss Det Är Vår” a Swedish classic from 1975, by Tage Danielsson (who passed away way to early) is one movie we´ve watched together alot. It´s a funny story about two people determent to find prisoner Harald, his hidden talent. (It turns out he is awesome at making cookies.)

The actors are divine and the overall look of the movie is so cool and when I watch it as an adult I realize this movie has influenced the way I look through my camera a lot.

It is in Swedish, but if you find a subtitled version you have to promise me to watch it!

The clip below shows the awesome house that Tage and Lena share. It is customized to fit his needs as a tall person and hers as a not-so-tall person. Even the pictures on Lenas wall are small when his are not. Love this!

Since I was just swearing because I never really had time to finish anything last summer, this year I decided to spend some time before the vacation to fix our cottage. Then when summer arrives I will be more at peace to relax. Or maybe I’ll have more time for even more projects!

The other day during breakfast I found my 5 year old filling in the pattern on the table cloth with an ink pen. I asked what she was doing and she went totally wild on me. Then she hid under her brothers bed and had a tantrum. After a while she climbed up in her bunk bed and calmed down.
An hour later when we where dressing to go to school and the kids where in the elevator. I remembered that Della needed her water bottle for their excursion that day so I ran inside to get it from up in her bed.

Then I found that she had drawn horses, flowers and ballet girls on the wall – up in the bunk bed.
I realized that after her tantrum earlier on – she had climbed up in her bed and continued to draw while I was mad at her for drawing at the table cloth. (Oh the nerve…). When I confronted her about it she said.
- I am so sorry mum. I will never draw on my sheets again!
That I had missed.

I later made her rub the ink of the wall even though I thought it looked quite cool and beautiful.
But damn it is so hard sometimes.
Knowing how to act, react and simply just be the best parent possible.

My candy outfit. If I travel across country to be on stage to give a talk, I feel I have to dress the part.

Sometimes it’s hard being a vegetarian. First decent food I found was at 1600 hours and it was a Pizza.
I then got a sms from home, apparently Beppe got some new friends or new set of family.

7 hours on a train today. I am glad the sequel to The Circle is out. This one is called Fire! One thing I do not get is why all these kind of books (hunger games, twilight etc.) has to be called youth novels. They are about younger people but ?

When I passed the subway stop Slussen in Stockholm this morning I had to think about the Beastie Boys concert in 1995. I had jumped around for hours. I was sweaty and so tired I had to sit at the subway stop for like 30 minutes before heading home (And this was when I was in shape as a semi pro basket baller and I lived 5′ from the station). I was so happy and kind of euphoric! What a great concert and what a great band!

After weeks of wiggling- the tooth is bound to come off. If it happens at school-storage is an important issue. The precious tooth can not get lost. There is money at stake here!

At my kids school they have a “Transportation Box” for these situations. The box (that´s actually a glass jar) has been made special with small stickers and a tag saying that “The box has to be returned to the Preschool” once the delivery has been made.

Then the money-making can begin. The Swedish tooth fairy likes to pick up the teeth nice and clean so the kids have to put them in a glass of water before going to bed.

And in the morning, hopefully, there is money. In some rare cases the tooth has still been sitting there. Usually there is a neglecting fairy to blame. Or maybe “he got stuck in traffic”. If so.. just do the same thing next night but make sure to set an reminder on your phone.

I took a deep dive into my wallet and out came some new camera equipment! Can’t really master it all yet but I still wanted to show you some.
Basically I simply asked Jenny what to buy.

I also bought a remote control to the camera – that and the 17-40 lens is what I am trying out in the photo above.

And yes the doodling comes from another new toy.
A Bamboo pen so I can write on images- and draw.

Viola has been tracing a lot lately. It´s a fun alternative to drawing things from you head. She tapes the picture she wants to trace on a window and then a blank paper on top. This one she has been working on for days. This window faces east so it has perfect amount of light in the morning before school.

Yesterday I went to Stockholm to see Isabelle. Look at us! Too cute for our own good.

Our kitchen is almost done. Until then this is my cuttingboard.

I only watch movies I´ve already seen 1000 times. And I only read one book, Rolemodels.

My kitchen gets more pink everyday.

In Stockholm I finally got to meet Emilia, from My Blognest and we did some filming at her home. She is also too cute for her own good.

British magazine Living Etc. named us one of their top Nordic Bloggers. Funky!

I´ve made time for some quality TV. (Needles to say: I´ve seen it before )

And someone actually thought of me when they saw this dude. Amazing.  Thanks Rebecka for the gift!

Zombies flowers
Summer is just around the corner and I want to head over to the flower nursery and stock up on pretty much everything there for my garden. But Jenny wait! before I go there spending half my salary I will take a closer look at my old pots left in the shed with plants I´ve presumed dead. Because you know what? You might find quite a lot of life there.
Clean them up and give them some water and they will bloom again.

Some are broken. Some are to small. Some are too damn hot.
Everyday of summer I have to wrestle my winter boots to find my flip-flops in our big shoe bin. I don´t know why, but no one in this family bothers to take them down to the basement. Until now! Today I have done just that. I even sorted out the ones that were to small or broken.

Don´t let her beauty fool you
Every year I admire the dandelions when they first bloom. – “Aaa so pretty, how can they be so unwanted. So hated?“ And then a couple of weeks later I understand why they are so unwanted. They spread themselves all over the yard (and also the neighbor´s) and seem to be unstoppable. On some parts of the yard the grass has completly vanished. This year I will pull them by the roots.

Another week has come to an end. Mine have been all about dealing with kitchen-renovating madness. Hopefully the kitchen will be done by next week. Maybe even before I go visit Isabelle in Stockholm on Wednesday.  Anyway..

I was looking for something else but I found lots of pictures on my computer containing the color red.
So that is what I will show you today.

I am going to transform this staircase. I fell in love with the wallpaper Julian from Sandberg but now it’s like the dots are taking over everything. I love the pippi longstocking vibe to it and I seldom think something is too much but now I’m really hesitating.
Looks great on the image but in real life – the white is sooo white and then the dots become so strong.
Normally I really can tell directly if it’s good or not. But not this time.

Like Jenny said to me – why can’t we just love white and be happy with it?!

I have so much DIY stuff but I can never find anything since I haven’t sorted it and I’m always filming somewhere or shooting stuff somewhere else. But then I got cravings for this wagon and 1+1= DIY Wagon. It’s from Ikea -apparently almost sold out in whole Sweden so I had to ask my brother in law who was in another town to buy it for me. When I’m not using it I am going to make room for it in this cupboard or that is at least what I tell my hubby.

Now I feel like a hairdresser just rolling my wagon to my customers!

Oh I am so excited – we are doing some cool stuff here on Dos at the moment!

Today I had a film crew at my place and we where working hard!

I wish I could tell you more and show you more now. But we have to wait. Waiting is not one of my best features.

But I can tell you as much that we are filming some hot stuff that you all can be part of pretty soon!
