Where the wild things are

It has been fun to watch my daughter’s creativity grow during these past weeks.
A couple of Barbies and drawing stuff and her favourite Miffy was the only toys we took with us.
I am thinking of all the crazy heaps of toys we have at home and how little she actually plays with it.
Even the nice hotel rooms are still hotel rooms. Simple and pretty un kid friendly.
The swimming pool and learning to swim has been a succes.
But even small mermaids need to come out of the water to play?
First week we got here I went to the store and bought clay, stamps, pen and paper but I guess
something else got unleashed…

She started out wanting to perform a Santa Lucia Tåg.
In Sweden we celebrate the light with Santa Lucia at Dec 13th. Sweden on it’s darkest moment-
pretty far from the heat in Thailand.
But her wish -my command.
Daddy’s tshirt, nightgown belt and small bags of instant coffe instead of candles tucked
in to her Björn Borg headband.
Voilá a perfect Thai Lucia,
or Jesus
or with a ice cream cone even – yeah you know who!

It is important to show your art. Here mini Arty Jesus is having a clay vernissage.

It started out as big hart letters for the grandparents but suddenly turned into the movie
V for Vendetta.

So funny, I am reliving my childhood through your site. When I was 6 I did the same exact pose with homemade costume, except I was the Statue of Liberty as I was a newly immigrated resident of NY. Enjoy every minute.
