The hunger games toaster DIY

I went to see Catching Fire last night and then realized I had to show you this toaster I made when I read the Hunger games books. Just draw some Mockingjays on adhesive foil/vynil and stick it to your toaster. I think this is a great way to upgrade a pretty boring kitchen utility. And maybe save the environment a bit, I mean if you feel like a new toaster well just upgrade it first at home instead of buying a new one.
Be cautious- check so the toaster will not get to hot on the outside – in that case the plastic can melt and you don’t want this catching fire (mohahaha).

And the movie? Well I loved it! I was so disappointed in the first one. I thought the whole movie was a bit soft comparing to the books, I didn’t agree with the casting of Peeta at all and I thought the costumes and the capitol felt a bit plastic and boring. I mean there was so much you could have done with the styling but to me it fell flat. No I didn’t like it. But then I watch it again last week and totally changed my mind. Maybe I had read the book to close of watching the movie? I must have had my own movie in my had which now have faded. This time around I really liked Peeta and thought it was a good movie.
But this catching fire is so much better, higher tempo, cooler costumes, better played. Great!
I also have a slight crush on Jennifer Lawrence – seems like such a nice, fun and cool girl!

I have made another toaster like this but with monsters and things my daughter has drawn – see it here.
The toaster above I made for Emilia read her great blog!

I also saw that a beautiful mess had done some upgrading of their washing machines in the same way.

Can’t wait to see Catching Fire. Loved the books, but felt just as you that Peeta wasn’t casted right. To me Peeta and Gale should have had swapped places physically. Gale was waaay to big for a starving hunter. But having said that, I still enjoyed the movie and can’t wait for the next one.
