DIY Foamboard TV frame

I love watching TV but am not crazy about how the TV it self looks. For Viola´s room we made a TV frame of foam board (kapaskiva). We simply attached it to the front with double stick tape, the sides should not be covered though a TV needs to breath. I found some pictures on my phone from when Jens made it that you might like.
And if you are a somewhat decent drawer and know how to handle a carpet knife, you can make one too.

To make one you need: Foam board. Carpet knife. Pencil. Permanent marker. And something to attach it to you TV, like double stick tape or Velcro.
And most important: an idea of what you want it to look like.
We decided on a old looking TV and with the board already being white we kept it simple and drew the outlines with a black permanent marker.

But first Jens made a sketch on his computer (this is how we start all our projects-with a digital sketch)
Then he drew the frame with a pencil on the board and then with the permanent marker.

The edges needed some black too.

all done.

Or you can paint your electronics like Petter did. Click here for that post!

And don´t forget to watch TV with your kids. Here is the perfect movie!
