Book tip – Wonder by RJ Palacio

In the store there was this little note attached to this book:
This is a must read. You will so not regret it. The note together with the great artwork had me sold.
I so judge the books by their covers which in fact what this book is all about. 10 year old Auggie, a boy born with extreme face abnormalities and his friends, family and how people around him react to him during his 5th grade and also first year in school is this book about. It’s a book filled with humor and a well written in “the head of kids” kind of story. I clearly heard all the kids voices and never doubted them once. Instead I cried, laughed and got filled with wonder. If you want to read a well written review –  scoot over to NYTimes here. She even read it with her 9 year old – a good idea.
The homepage of RJ Palacio you find here!

I loved this book!
Happy reading

Will read it. Just finished “Rolemodels” and that was a great tip! So I am excited for more.

Thank you from Hamburg

Hey Annika!

Oh I am so glad to hear you liked it. As I said before I have highlighted so many quotes from that book that I go back and read when I feel gloomy.
