New York Day 4 Super Saturday

Okay , so yesterday was Super Saturday. (Being the last weekend before Christmas it ´s the busiest days for retailers all over the US). We said: “it can´t be that bad ” and went to Toys´R us on Times Square. But I almost had a nervous breakdown. It was insane. There were people everywhere balancing boxes of shiny presents, and the check out lines seemed to go on forever. I just could not handle it, and we fled the scene without buying anything.

So today we got up early (Jetlag, still) and took the subway to Harlem ,where we had heard, there is a Target. And it was great, we got all our christmas shopping done before Manhattan had even gotten out of bed.

Me almost having a nervous breakdown on an escalator.

Åhhh, I thought Toys’R’Us was pretty bad in May when we were there..! I’m not much for crowds, yet I really liked NYC. Then again, I was there in May so it couldn’t have been anything like what you experienced… :-)

Oh wow. That is my exact face every time I go toy shopping at Christmas in Sydney, Australia. We don’t have kids yet so we are not quite in tune with all the mayhem, screaming, crying, foot stamping, begging, pushing and grabbing… And that’s just the parents ;)
