Viola´s café on our second floor

Up until yesterday we had to travel by car for ten minutes to get to a decent café. But now all we have to do is go upstairs.

We used a lot of stuff that we already had for this café. Brought in the furniture from the playhouse and cleaned it. And hung some shelfs for nice storage.

Me and Viola took photos of all the food she wanted to serve, printed it off and pinned them to the bullitin board. We also made a book meny with the photos.

I bought this shelf at a fleamarket, it holds most of the goodies.

“May I take your order?”

“I´ll give that key lime pie a try and a big ol´glas of non fat milk”

We used some fruit crates for shelfs, just like Isabelle did in Dellas room.
And added some christmas lights for a cozy diner feeling.

Such a lovely idea. I would have been thrilled to have this as a kid. Seeing things like this makes me so excited for when my baby girl gets a bit older… not that I don’t love the stage she’s at now. :)

I’ve been hunting for a little play kitchen for our kids’ playroom, but I can’t find anything small enough, inexpensive enough, and made of wood. If anyone has a lead on components that fit those qualifications, I’d love to hear from you. So far, our Craigslist has zillions of plastic kitchens and a Pottery Barn retro one for $300! Thanks, and I appreciate your help!
